A Day to Manifest Understanding, Forgiveness and Peace

What is empathy? Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, founder of the Center for Nonviolent Communication, defines empathy in his book,"Nonviolent Communication, a Language of Life"as a respectful understanding of what others are experiencing. It is not feeling ones feelings, advice giving, or sympathy.

A Quick Start: Set your intention to focus on understanding what another may be dealing with in their life without judgments or evaluations. Just be present for them. Take a few deep breaths first. Start next Wednesday before you get out of bed. Just say, I will really try to listen without any judgments. Make it your affirmation such as saying at every meal. I listen without any judgments. Then visualize yourself doing this action.
